2026 GUIDED NIGHT WALKS IN HALLE, (SAALE) GERMANY

Night Walk: Perceiving Darkness with artist Diana Ramaekers

On Friday, 9 October 2026, artist-researcher Diana Ramaekers will contribute to the Night Light Walk in Halle, Germany, as part of the cultural programme ‘Stadt Licht Leben Energie’.

In Perceiving Darkness, Ramaekers invites participants to slow down and rediscover the night. Drawing on her artistic research into darkness, light pollution and perception, she explores how the fading of natural darkness affects the way we see, orient ourselves and relate to our surroundings.

As day turns to night, participants are encouraged to notice what often remains unseen: shifting colors, subtle transitions and the quiet presence of darkness itself. Combining artistic observation with scientific dialogue, the walk offers a renewed experience of the night as a space of wonder, attention and connection.

Date: Friday, 9 October 2026
