DARK SKY RESEARCH 2024

• At Lauwersmeer National Park, one of the darkest landscapes in the Netherlands, I explored the relationship between darkness, ecology and human perception. Working during twilight and night I observed how reduced light changes orientation, attention and awareness. Photography, sound recordings and field notes became tools for understanding the landscape beyond visual dominance. The project invites a slower encounter with darkness as a condition that reveals rather than conceals, allowing new relationships between body, landscape and environment to emerge.
