Research Residence Ellecom
Observing darkness: during a one month residency in Ellecom at the edge of National Park Veluwezoom, I investigated darkness as a space of perception. Through walking, waiting, drawing, photographing and filming, I observed the gradual transition from daylight to night. Rather than documenting the landscape, this project explores how vision adapts when light slowly disappears. The resulting works – photographs, color studies, drawings and installations – trace the subtle thresholds between visibility and invisibility, revealing darkness not as an absence, but as a presence with its own color, rhythm and spacial qualities.
